What distinguishes Pinta from other yarns is its very unique composition: 60% merino, 20% silk and 20% ramie. The merino wool is sourced from Patagonia. It is mulesing free and is RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified. The mulberry silk gives it a glossy shine and smoothness. It gets its robustness from its other very special ingredient: ramie, an eco-friendly fibre, highly sustainable and a very good alternative to synthetic fibres, is a plant fibre of the nettle family noted for its length and toughness.
